Aaron “Popper” Milledge is a proven military leader and entrepreneur who leverages technical competence and a deep understanding of business to help clients compete and thrive in a rapidly changing market environment.
Popper is a graduate of Emory University and served in the U.S. Air Force as an F-15E instructor pilot and T-38 evaluator pilot. He has over 2,000 flight hours and has flown 58 combat missions. During his service, Popper supported Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and ODYSSEY DAWN. Additionally, he was the detachment commander for the first-ever deployment of European-based F-15E aircraft to the Republic of Korea. In this role, Popper managed multidisciplinary teams of over 30 military personnel and managed a $20 million logistical budget. Additionally, Popper has led efforts to overcome extreme shortfalls in aircraft maintenance, address bottlenecks in student training output, and remedy flying hour reporting processes. His mathematical models for forecasting aircraft availability and optimizing maintenance are still relied upon to manage resources for flying training units. He has been recognized as the top graduate from the Air Force’s Pilot Instructor Training program and the top instructor pilot at the Wing level. Popper is a Distinguished Graduate from Pilot Instructor Training, Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals, and Squadron Officer School.
After earning his MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, Popper began designing his exit from the Air Force, and in 2015 he left active duty to co-found an independent wealth management firm specializing in serving military clients, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives.
