Dan “Steelman” Phillips served in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Officer and Army Ranger with the 75th Ranger Regiment. During his time in service, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom during 3 total combat tours. Dan received many awards and recognitions during his military service including the Ranger Tab, Airborne Qualification, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Bronze Star.
Since separating from the U.S. Army, Dan has held a variety of positions in Corporate Sales, Operations, and Consulting. During his time as a consultant, he has had the privilege of working with Fortune-ranked companies as well as high growth start-ups.
Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia. As a graduate student at the University of Georgia, Dan had the privilege of working for the Student Veterans Resource Center as a career transition coach for Student Veterans. This position enabled him to connect with fellow Student Veterans and share his lessons learned from the military transition. As an Associate Partner at Afterburner, Dan works closely with leaders of the Technology industry training them on the tools and techniques of Flawless ExecutionSM.
