The MacEwen Group, LLC is led by General Mac MacEwen, U.S. Army Brigadier General (Retired), who as the Adjutant General of the Army led the Army’s efforts on veteran transition, casualty operations, education programs, and human resource programs. He is a retired General with over 33 years of experience and founded the MacEwen Group, LLC upon his retirement in 2015.

As the 59th Adjutant General of the Army, MacEwen was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the human resource programs of the Army and the support to its 1.1 million active and reserve soldiers and their families. This included the oversight of many of the Army’s human resource programs, the Depart of Defense Postal Operations and the Army’s implementation of the 2011 Veterans Opportunity to Work (VOW) Act.

During more than 33 years of service, MacEwen served and commanded units at every echelon from platoon leader to general officer level command and worked in key staff positions in both the Army and the joint force. He served tours of duty in Korea, Germany, Albania, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, and the United States.

MacEwen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Clarion University and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He is also a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, and the Naval War College. MacEwen also attended the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School Executive Development Program.
