Joe’s leadership and industry experience is broad-based, having served as the CEO of a number of businesses. Joe is well versed in working with high growth, start-up, and turnaround operations and has worked with a number of private equity and venture capital firms. He is also involved in several non-profit organizations, to include Literacy at the Well, a program promoting literacy in South Sudan, where he serves on the board of directors. He lends his experience to business across the US as a military speaker.
Joe served as a Captain in the United States Army. During his service he was Ranger and Airborne qualified. In his final assignment, Joe served as a company commander of a nuclear surety unit based in Germany. Joe received numerous awards during his service, to include both the Leadership Award and Honor Graduate Award upon completion of his Officer Basic Course.
Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Boston College where he was a Distinguished Military Graduate, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Northern Colorado, and he also completed the executive program at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
